Hello everyone, Welcome to Rajasthaniboli! Rajasthan – a land that pulses with vibrant traditions, majestic history, and a kaleidoscope of colors. I consider myself fortunate to have Rajasthani heritage.
As I recall my numerous summer vacations spent at my maternal grandparents; my Nana and Nani’s home, it brings back floods of memories which fills every pore of me with pure joy just like earth’s scent permeates every molecule after a rain fall. Those huge family get togethers included my cousins, aunts and uncles all dressed in colorful clothes, girls and women dancing to the tunes of folk music and Nani alongside my mother and her sisters preparing mouthwatering “daal, bati and choorma”!! Thinking about those days makes me extremely nostalgic. How I miss all of it when I am not there! How I sometimes wonder what it would have liked to be if I grew up there? How I sometimes feel so disconnected from my roots, but this in the end is my heritage.
My recent visit to my ancestral village sparked the fire in me to learn more about my culture and language. I want to bring you along on this journey where we’ll unravel the mystique of Rajasthan’s language and culture together.
I also aim to invest in enhancing literacy and education in rural Rajasthan through this charity. There are several dialects of Rajasthani which are on verge of becoming extinct. I hope to improve the awareness of our great language and literature.
I am hopeful that this platform will help bridge the gap between our generation and the cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Let’s embark on this journey together! Are you ready? Let’s roll! 🌵🔆🎶
