Khamma Ghani Everyone! I am Anuv Singh. I am a senior at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. I’m thrilled to welcome you to Rajasthaniboli. My fascination with languages started at an early age. As I immersed myself in stories, poems, and literary works, I realized the power of words to evoke emotions, convey ideas, and shape cultures. In second grade, I received a Christmas gift that would become my most cherished possession: the complete series of “Amar Chitra Katha,” an Indian comic book series that delves into Indian history, culture and traditions. I find myself returning to these comics time and again, captivated by their stories.
Beyond my passion for reading, I also have a keen interest in mathematics, physics, and computers. I love traveling and eagerly await spending my summer vacations at grandparents’ home in India.
I am also committed to making a positive impact in my community. I volunteer my time and mentor young children through a local charity, the GPS Character Club. Through this charitable work, I strive to support disadvantaged students in their educational journey, helping them reach their aspirations.
As I prepare to embark on my college journey, I envision pursuing a degree in computational linguistics. I am also deeply passionate about preserving and promoting Indian culture and language. I firmly believe that through language, we forge close bonds and open our hearts to others. I aspire to educate young children about Indian culture and language, fostering understanding and unity among diverse communities.
Therefore, I founded this charity and “free to explore” website to share my love and enthusiasm for my language and cultural heritage. Rajasthani language is not one of the prominent and most spoken languages in India or internationally. My nani (grandmother) was from Rajasthan. I wish I had started this project much earlier when my grandmother was still around. She always wanted us to stay connected to our roots. Through this charity, I plan to explore and spread the deep and vast Rajasthani culture and heritage. My hope and aspiration are to help preserve the Rajasthani language and heritage for future generations. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to get to know me better. Feel free to reach out, connect, and let’s embark on this exciting adventure together!
